Together Mission began as an initiative of Newcastle District in 2013. The idea being that every circuit would host a mission with support from a team of local and visiting volunteers. This model was replicated in 2015 with a number of circuits building on the previous opportunities. You can find out more about previous missions via our blogs.

Following 2015 Together Mission was developed in a weekend format. Together Weekends were specifically designed to support local churches, and all of their members to consider their role in the mission of God.

Three weekends took place across the district. Based on the successes of previous Together Missions Elaine Lindridge had enquires from other Districts who were keen to replicate. This led Elaine to develop Together Mission as it is today. A joint initiative between Newcastle Upon Tyne and Darlington Districts with support from Cliff College. This makes Together a regional project with mission and evangelism at the heart of its work. As we look forward to all that God has in store we are particularly keen to partner with and support churches across the region to look at how they do mission and reach out to their community.
